KingdomClash is an interactive event designed to immerse and engage young players with Three Kingdoms Tactics. Spearheaded by Shawn during his time at Alibaba, the project condensed core gameplay elements into competitive events. It aimed to acquire younger users by exploring innovative interactions between the product and its audience, combining strategy, conflict, and dynamic experiences.
Research revealed user needs: faster pacing, diverse gameplay, heightened conflict, and prestige. Levels were designed to address these, such as "King of Lands", where players defend against enemies, and "Conquer Luoyang City", which combines strategy and team coordination. Shawn integrated surveys, interviews, and team discussions to refine gameplay, creating engaging conflict-driven designs that resonate with younger users.
